Kim Mayyasi and Mike Barnett met at one of the earliest MIT artificial intelligence spin-outs, Gensym. As CEO and EVP of Solutions, respectively, they collaborated on hundreds of innovative applications for industry and government, including NASA, DoD, process control, and supply chain use cases. Kim and Mike quickly learned they shared a core belief that human expertise when unified with the machine intelligence offers business and society uncommon possibilities
Ten years ago, the two joined forces again with HMX.ai. Their focus on mission-critical applications using newer AI technologies like semantic web, M/L and now Gen AI has culminated with the creation of a cognitive agent technology that builds and deploys cognitive solutions fulfilling their aspirational goal: Human + AI is better than either alone.
